Story
里音 Satone is a rising artist from Hyogo, Japan, with a strong background in Black music. Growing up between a Japanese international school and the influences of West Texas, she began singing Gospel at a young age, joined the Soul Bird Teen Choir, and later performed at Billboard Live Osaka. Her upbringing, balancing different cultures and early caregiving responsibilities, shaped her sincere and heartfelt approach to music.
At 19, she traveled to Harlem, New York, to explore her Black musical roots and audition for the Apollo Theater, marking an important step toward her solo career. Her training spans years of vocal study and performance across R&B, Soul, Gospel, and Jazz.
Time spent in the UK, along with her love for musical classics like Burlesque and “Lady Marmalade,” later influenced both her visual style and her vintage-inspired sound.
In 2025, she released her debut album, “Back To Me,” and has performed throughout Japan, including serving as the opening act for Okinawa Collection 2025. Satone’s voice, balancing classic influences with a modern touch, continues to carve out her unique presence in the modern R&B scene.
